Antique French apothecary bottle for
Pulvis Krameriae Tr:
. with beautifiul gold, red and black label. It also has its original red-painted tole cap with gold decorated bands at top and bottom.
The bottle stands 8⅞  inches tall to the top of the cap. Diameter is 3½  inches. Good wear on the bottom and a nice polished pontil.
The bottle is filled with what appears to be ground bark. On the back is a label from a Paris pharmacy on which is written “BOURDAINE” and “ECORCE…” This indicates that the contents are not what is listed on the fancy label but actually buckthorn bark. Research indicates that b
