    Description

    Antique French apothecary bottle for
    Tartras Potassicus Ac:
    . with beautifiul gold, red and black label in pristine condition. It also has its original red-painted tole cap with gold decorated bands at top and bottom.
    The bottle stands 8⅝ inches tall to the top of the cap. Diameter is 3¼  inches. There is a good polished pontil on the bottom.
    Tartras Potassicus Ac:
    . is prepared from acid potassium
    sulphate, a by-product in the manufacture of nitric acid.
    This bottle dates from the late 19th century, probably about 1880.
