Well loved Steiff rolling ride on toy donkey estimated to be from the 1940's or so. Some condition issues....His coat is of mohair fur and over the years it's rubbed off around the neck and shoulders from all the love! I'd estimate it to be 80-85% there. No rips or tears to the fabric and he does have his button in his ear identifying him as a Steiff creation. The wooden bar at the top of his head steers the direction of the front wheels below. He measures 18.5" tall by 22" long overall. The base upon which he's mounted is 16" in length and he's 13" tall to the top of his back. His mane is sparse, he's missing his blanket as well as his bridle and his ears flop down but he is still so stinkin' adorable! A sweet display accessory for your antique doll or toy bear collection.
