This is a brand new 6 disc car DVD changer made by Pioneer, model XDV-P9. It has the same features as the XDV-P90, but Pioneer just likes to change their model numbers slightly every year. I bought this changer as a spare when I found out they weren’t going to be produced in case I had any trouble with my existing unit in my vehicle. My original unit has lasted 19 years and is still going, but we are finally selling that vehicle and no longer need this. I purchased 2 additional JD-612V 6disc magazines as well so that we could have 18 movies in rotation for those really long trips - they are brand new as well. This unit may be used with any IP-bus based pioneer touchscreen radio for on screen control, or can be used as a stand alone unit for an overhead or headrest monitor system via the included remote eye and remote control. The remote can also operate many Pioneer touchscreen radios and navigation systems that have a remote eye, as the remote has a switch for AVH/DVD/NAVI. This unit has only been taken out of the box to take pictures and inspect the contents for this auction. This unit has been great for us in keeping our discs immaculate as it has kept “little fingers” off of the discs.
