    Description

    This jar is quite a find.  I believe this was for a lab or pharmacy at one point, as it was made by Pyrex.  The logo on the bottom dates it around 1950s or so.  It stands 18 1/2 inches tall ( 1 1/2 foot tall), the width and base measures 4.5 x 6 inches.  it weighs a heavy 5 pounds, 4 ounces.   It's rectangular in shape and the top of the neck is 3 inches tall and the diameter of the mouth is 2.75 inches  It is made of thick glass.  The front is etched Cocaine with the  Molecular Formula of C17 H 21 NO4. This jar has been owned by a friend of ours, he's had it in his home for years.  The jar has been used to hold change and it has some surface wear on the front and inside, but in really great condition.  There is some white hazing here or there but relatively clean.  The glass has waves, along with some bubbles and marks, typical of the glass making process during this time frame.  There is also a bubble that is in the neck, and as you can see the bottle neck and shoulders are a little off-keester and not
    symmetrical
    - again, typical for the glass making process.  There are no cracks or chips or damage that I can see.  Only discoloration and light wear as shown.   The bottom is marked 1 PYREX MADE in USA with the circle R registered trademark.  The bottom has surface wear from use.  Lovely piece of
