STEIFF JOCKO CHIMPANZEE - NO TAGS - NO BUTTON - 50s or 60s - 9.5 in tall (25 cm)

If you love posing your Steiff, then you must have a Jocko Chimpanzee!  This fellow is one of the larger ones at a little over 9 inches tall.  His brown mohair is in excellent condition - he has no chest tags or button & flag, but he is still as playful as ever.  His joints are tight and can be posed in many different ways.  His felt hands and feet are in excellent condition - the dark shaded areas you see are the work of the Steiff artists who used air brushes on all the older Steiff for shading and realistic features (this is NOT dirt!).   His face, ears, hands and feet are made of wool felt, molded for realism.  He has glass eyes and I never knew this, but he has a "voice box" a squeaker which does not appear to work, but it's there.  There was a time when you could send your Steiff back to the company and they would repair it for free.  They don't do this anymore because of the resale market, but they may be able to repair it for a fee if you wish.  I'm sorry there are no tags - my children and I both played with all my Steiff - after all, they are toys to be used by children.  He looks great with smaller Steiff sitting in his lap or climbing over him.  I will ship out the morning after receiving payment.  Thank you.
