Antique talavera / majolica ceramic pottery apothecary jar from Granada, Spain with the typical pomegranate motif and Fajalauza glazing style.
I am 100% sure it is from Granada, Spain because of this glazing style. It is CLASSIC Fajalauza, the style from Granada, Spain.
Salvaged from an antique's market.
The text reads: "CINCHONA CALISAYA".
Measurements / Specs:
-- 14 inches tall with the lid on
-- 11 inches tall just the jar
-- no major chips or cracks, although there is wear commensurate with age (look carefully at the photos)
-- a bit wobbly because of some glazing irregularity upon the bottom rim that could be sanded down if desired. I'll leave that to the discretion of the buyer.
