For your consideration: Vintage Steiff Largest Llama "Lama" @1959-1964 43cm, or 16"T
This gentle giant is from the top shelf in my collection &
truly
a great representation as to why Steiff signs &
numbers their creations like the pieces of art that they are. She is quite impressive in this size & her condition is
wonderful. She is the largest of three sizes in her family. With a wonderful pose, she is mohair made (long & curly)
with a beautiful face ,large amber glass eyes, All of her original airbrushing & a full belly squeaker that just gave out.
She still retains her Raised script button, but no flag attached. If she had one, her ean would be either #1343,0 & she was
made from 1957-1958 or #1343,00 & she was made from 1959-1964. I think she's gorgeous...breaks my heart to part with
her, but please refer to the pictures as they are integral to my description. Lama can be found on page 270, in the Sortiment.
