A Walt Disney marketing product, Steiff's Perri Squirrel was produced for Disney's 1957 film PERRI, whose story was based on an earlier 1938 story by Feliz Salten's -
Perri:  the Youth of a Squirrel
.  This squirrel sits approximately 4.5" high X 6" long X 3.25" wide through the bottom feet. S/he is made of brown with white tips plush mohair, off-white thick felt paws and eye trims, and black glass eyes.  S/he holds a velvet multicolored nut.  The paper chest tag and raised script silver button and cloth ear tag dates the squirrel to a 1959-1967 production.  Please scroll down and enlarge the additional pictures, and many thanks for viewing.
