Vintage Seated Cocker Spaniel Dog (
Steiff "Cockie"?) swivel head 6" tall, 1960s
I may be mistaken about this little dog's identity because I could not find another one exactly like it in my resources. The construction, the stitching and the quality says "Steiff" but there is no button nor is there a tag.
The mohair is soft much like Steiff's "Molly" as is the coloration.
The mohair is worn in a few places as this was a plaything that was quite obviously enjoyed.
The open velvet mouth and snout also look like a Steiff design. The amber glass eyes are lovely.
