HUGE Arco German Shepherd Dog 30” 76cm w/ Button (missing the ribbon) in left ear.
This Vintage sweet, (smiling?!) dog is a huge, impressive
30”
(including tail) reclining-lying on his side-
1950’s
version of Arco the
German Shepherd
. He is quite firmly stuffed covered in soft, smooth mohair. Some of it is longer-fluffier while others are more dense just like real German Shepherds.
He also has wonderful added airbrushed details, black stitched claws (toes visible on back feet) and vertical stitched nose.
His open mouth is lined in a peachy pink -felt?
With a scalloped gum edge and a
cute felt tongue
which helps to give him his friendly look. His expressive doggy eyes are  warm amber with black pupils.
This vintage collectible STEIFF plush dog has all the quality details that make Steiff so appealing and desirable.
He looks friendly and alert and is ready to be your new pal and pet!
He is 22” body + 11” tail. Combined length is 30-32” or so.
CONDITION
:
GOOD OVERALL.
He has the Steiff metal button in his left ear (but no ribbon).
His left eye has a diagonal faint line through it-crack-but doesn’t feel or look like one. Plush fur overall nice with occasional less dense spots-like time took its toll -small spot on leg and one about half a stamp on back of right ear. Also possible faint grime or darkening of his plush  over time on legs.  No unpleasant odors or smell of smoke. Nonsmoking pet-free home.
